Orion's Arrow was flying across the sky! Not sure what happened.
Apparently, it has lost momentum.
I guess that's what you get for using a small mom and pop CD manufacturer somewhere in Utah. One of these days, Orion's Arrow will be released and this feeling of stagnation will subside. The show must go on...

The master CD for "Orion's Arrow" has been sent out to Utah for production. The official release is on the horizon...

Mallory and I have landed in Concord, New Hampshire and are getting acclimated to our new lives in the land of the Buzzard! The new solo CD project has been stalled a bit in the move but is scheduled for release soon, hopefully before black fly season. To all of you millions who check this site daily, looking for any tidbit of news, YOU will be the first to know!

Thanks to all of you that came out for the Eight Track Derby show on 2/11/06. We had a blast rocking out for you! Believe it or not, Eight Track Derby actually existed outside of the Soul Fulosofy rehearsal space! The release of the recordings will remain a work in progress but it will happen eventually.
In other news, my second studio album was mastered today and will be released on the Pots & Pans label soon. Check the music section here at JP.com for a few new songs.
Mal and I are off to NH for good on Wednesday. Goodbye SF and CA, and goodbye to all of our great friends here - WE LOVE YOU ALL!!

The follow up album to "Electric Color Bars & Diamond Dreams" is almost done. I'm still waiting for the title to come to me but the finished record will be available on CDBaby and iTunes in the next few months.
The Eight Track Derby live recording party is scheduled for Saturday Feb 11th at Take Root in SF. It will be open to all friends and family. Doors will only be open for a short time - email jamesp@jamesparkington.com for details.

Back to Take Root Recording Studio again this weekend for some more solo JP recording - it's so fun! Eight Track Derby is planning a recording session in February and still planning to play a debut SF show. It will have to be soon because Mallory and I are planning to move to the northeast in March!

Back to the studio this weekend to work on a few songs with Billy Mungovan and sound engineer, Nate Perry. Eight Track Derby is on a short break while Shane heads down under. Sedimentary Rock music Rules!

A new recording, "Told Myself So" has landed here on the website. Hold your keys tightly when walking over those city sewer grates!

Rubberband has turned in to "Eight Track Derby" - still rehearsing down at "Soul Fulosfy" in SF. Look for a live show in SF soon!

In the meantime, James will be playing with original Rubberband members, Shane Papatolicas and Ben Alexander in an "unplugged" performance at the Bazaar Cafe in SF next Friday night.

Rubberband is now rehearsing at the "Soul Fulosofy" rehearsal space in beautiful SOMA, SF. The "the" has been dropped.

A spontaneous recording of "New Strings" occurred Friday night at Pots & Pans Records on Balboa Street - this news straight from The Administrator. The recording is now here on the website.

A new demo of "Snowblind" is now here on jamesparkington.com.
The Administrator had a bit of difficulty dealing with various "WAV's" & "AIFF's" but finally managed to squeeze out an "mp3'".

The Electric Color Bars & Diamond Dreams CD is now available on iTunes!

Recordings are underway for a project with the "Rubber Band", which should be released on the Pots & Pans label later this year. Stay tuned...

The website graphics have been changed - thanks to the Administrator for all of the hard work! James is planning to add some unreleased songs to the site soon so please check back once in a while.

James is back in the studio this weekend continuing work on Shane Papatolicas' album.

The digital music files for "Racing Stripe" and "Tahoe Blue" have been successfully added to the site.

James is in the studio today playing some bass and "Doobie" stylle guitar for Shane Papatolicas' debut solo album, which should be out later in 2005.

The music files for "Racing Stripe" & "Tahoe Blue" will be uploaded as soon as the Administrator can figure out how to upload "m4A" files.
